Not quite. It is a tool, of course, but it's a very specific tool and if someone wants to succeed on KS, there are certain steps that must be followed. For example, I doubt that anyone can do well without focusing on the reward tiers and converting low-tier customers into mid-tier customers with new goodies and tiers. Or without stretch goals that aren't really goals, etc.
Anyway, either AoD sells enough to keep us in business, in which case we'll start working on the next game, or it will become a spectacular failure, in which case going to KS will be kinda pointless. Why make games that people don't want to buy?

To be honest, I'd rather make different games (TB RPGs, naturally) than pump out 'more of the same' sequels. I want to tell different stories, explore different settings, customs, ethics, topics, etc.
